Testing and quality
Slim Metrix Testing and Quality, Checked
No lab report for Slim Metrix has been published. The sales page says "3rd-party Tested" and "GMP-Certified Facility", but it names no lab, no facility and no certificate. The seller gives a lot code and a certificate of analysis reference, which are reference numbers, not test results. What you can check is the label and your own bottle.

The short answer
Has Slim Metrix been third-party tested?
We cannot confirm it. The sales page uses the words "3rd-party Tested", but it does not say which lab, which batch or which tests (Sales page, quickslimstep.com/frt).
The paper we have is the brand's Supplement Facts graphic (Slim Metrix label graphic) and the sales page. Neither one shows a lab report.
| Claim | Where it appears | Proof published |
|---|---|---|
| "3rd-party Tested" | Sales page badge | Not published: no lab or report named |
| "GMP-Certified Facility" | Sales page badge, brand GMP mark | Not published: no facility, certifier or audit named |
| "Clinically Studied Ingredients" | Sales page badge | Some single ingredients were studied, at other doses; Slim Metrix itself has no trial |
| Lot SLI-26/SL-6736 | Seller's product notes | A reference code only; no image shows it on a bottle |
| Certificate of analysis SLI-6736-26-SL | Seller's product notes | Not published: the certificate itself is not available |
| Full Supplement Facts | Brand label graphic | Yes: every line is shown and typed out on this site |
The last row is the brand's one solid point: the full panel names all ten ingredients. Read it on the Supplement Facts page.
What the panel shows
What does the Slim Metrix label prove about quality?
It proves what the brand says is inside, not what a lab measured. A Supplement Facts panel is a promise; a test checks the promise.
The panel lists zinc 5.5 mg, chromium 50 mcg and a 276 mg blend of eight ingredients (Slim Metrix label graphic). For a blend, the law asks only for the total weight and the order from most to least (FDA: labeling guide (proprietary blends)). So even a perfect label cannot tell you how much berberine or green tea extract is in one capsule, and a test of the blend could only check the total.

Brand badges
Are the Slim Metrix badges certified?
None of them names a certifier. Each badge below comes from the brand's art, with what we could and could not confirm.

A brand badge. The sales page says “GMP-Certified Facility” but names no facility, certifier or audit.

A brand badge. Neither the label graphic nor the sales page names where or by whom the capsules are made.

A brand badge. The capsule also lists magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide, and natural does not mean safe.

A brand badge. No certifier is named and no certificate is published.

A brand badge. No certifier is named; no wheat ingredient appears on the label graphic.

A brand badge. No dairy ingredient appears on the label graphic.

A brand badge. The capsule shell is hypromellose, a plant-based material. No certifier is named.

A brand badge. No formulating doctor is named anywhere, so we cannot confirm it.

A badge for the 60-day refund policy. The sales page asks for the containers back, and the buyer pays return shipping.
The brand also has a "Registered Facility" badge with the FDA logo. We do not show it. FDA says registering a facility does not mean FDA approved it (FDA: what FDA does and doesn't approve), and the logo suggests an endorsement that does not exist.
Who checks supplements
Does the FDA test or approve Slim Metrix?
No. By law, FDA does not approve dietary supplements for safety or effectiveness before they are sold (FDA: what FDA does and doesn't approve).
Under the 1994 supplement law (DSHEA), the makers and distributors are responsible for making sure a product is safe and that its label is truthful (FDA: questions and answers on dietary supplements). Medicines must be approved first; supplements do not need that step (NIH ODS: what you need to know about supplements). FDA generally cannot review a supplement before it reaches the shelf (NCCIH: using dietary supplements wisely).
That puts the job of proving quality on the company. For Slim Metrix, no manufacturer, distributor or company is named on the label graphic or the sales page. So there is no named party to ask for its testing records, apart from the order desk at +1 (855) 482-1597.
- Facility registration is not approval.
- Structure and function claims must carry the line "This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration." (FDA: questions and answers on dietary supplements)
Ask for proof
What should a certificate of analysis for Slim Metrix show?
It should tie one lot to one lab and list what was tested. The seller has given a reference number, not the document.
A certificate of analysis, or CoA, is a test report for a single batch. The seller's reference for Slim Metrix is CoA SLI-6736-26-SL, linked to lot SLI-26/SL-6736. We have not seen the certificate, so we cannot tell you what it says.
A named lab
The lab's name and address, so anyone can confirm it exists and did the work.
The same lot
A lot number that matches the one printed on your bottle, plus the test date.
What was measured
The tests run and the results, set against the amounts on the label, such as zinc 5.5 mg and chromium 50 mcg.
A signature
Who approved the report. A code on a sales page is not a report.
To ask, call the order desk at +1 (855) 482-1597 or email [email protected] and request the CoA for the lot on your bottle. Our website inbox, [email protected], cannot see orders or batch records.
If something is off
What should you do if a Slim Metrix capsule looks wrong?
Stop taking it, keep the bottle, and call the order desk at +1 (855) 482-1597. Have your order ID and the lot number ready.
Before the first capsule, check that the seal is whole, the label says 30 capsules, the capsules are purple and a lot number and best-before date are printed on the bottle (the brand graphic shows neither). Our batch check page walks through each step. If anything is off, take a photo. The sales page says refunds within 60 days require returning the product containers, even if empty, so do not throw the bottle away (Sales page, quickslimstep.com/frt). Phone the desk before you mail anything, and use the return address it confirms (the sales page lists Aurora, CO).
If you feel unwell, that comes before any refund. Signs of liver trouble after a green tea extract product need a doctor, and the side effects page lists what to watch for.
FAQ
Questions about Slim Metrix testing and quality
Is Slim Metrix third-party tested?
Not that we can confirm. The sales page shows a "3rd-party Tested" badge but names no lab, batch or report (Sales page, quickslimstep.com/frt). No test result for Slim Metrix has been published. Until a report naming the lab and the lot appears, treat the badge as the seller's claim.
Is Slim Metrix FDA approved?
No. FDA does not approve any dietary supplement for safety or effectiveness before it is sold, and registering a facility with FDA is not approval either (FDA: what FDA does and doesn't approve). That is why this site does not show the brand's badge that uses the FDA logo.
Is Slim Metrix made in a GMP-certified facility?
The sales page says so, but it names no facility, certifier or audit, so we cannot confirm it. The brand's GMP badge is shown on this site with that note. If this matters to you, ask the order desk which facility made your lot.
Does Slim Metrix have a certificate of analysis?
The seller gives a reference, CoA SLI-6736-26-SL for lot SLI-26/SL-6736, but the certificate itself is not published. A reference number is not lab proof. You can ask the order desk at +1 (855) 482-1597 for the certificate that matches the lot on your bottle.
Who manufactures Slim Metrix capsules?
No one is named. The label graphic and the sales page name no manufacturer, distributor or company (Sales page, quickslimstep.com/frt). This website is run by Slimmetrixdaily, a U.S. stocking partner, not the maker. Checkout runs through BuyGoods, the retailer named on the sales page.
Could a weight-loss supplement contain hidden drugs?
Yes, some have. NIH notes that some weight-loss products were found to contain prescription drugs not listed on the label (NIH ODS: weight-loss supplements (consumer fact sheet)), and FDA lists secret prescription ingredients among the signs of health fraud (FDA: 6 tip-offs to health-fraud scams). Only a real lab test can rule that out for a batch.
Is Slim Metrix gluten free and allergen free?
The sales page says so, and no wheat or dairy ingredient appears on the label graphic. No certifier or allergen test is named, though. If you have celiac disease or a serious allergy, ask the order desk for written allergen information before you order.
